Derrick Isabell was born August 6, 1991 to Jeanetta Clinton & Derrick Isabell Sr. Nicknamed "Izzy" at age 11, he picked up the turntables with hopes of following in his older cousin’s, “DJ T-Nutz” and DJ Huggie, footsteps in the disc jockey arena.

By high school, Izzy turned his love for the turntables into a career. He started djing birthday parties and basketball games at his high School in Savannah, Georgia, Robert W. Groves HS.

Izzy has been named Top 5 Campus DJ of the year, Top 5 HBCU DJ of the year, and most recently Salute The DJ Award’s Club DJ of the year.  Izzy is also sponsored by Sovereign Brands’ Belaire Rose and has been featured on 106 & Park as a guest DJ. He has worked with celebrities like Megan Thee Stallion, YFN Lucci, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, DJ Drama, DJ Kid Capri, Migos, Kodak Black, Future, Ty Dolla Sign, Gunna, 21 Savage, Teyana Taylor, Rae Sremmurd, Kevin Gates, Shy Glizzy, Kam Chancellor, Mike Scott, Chad Ochocinco Johnson, John Wall, Allen Iverson and many more.

Izzy has also broken several hit records in Virginia including YFN Lucci’s Key to the Streets & Everyday We Lit, Q Money’s Neat, and Megan Thee Stallion’s Big Ol Freak.

Gearing up for another explosive year, Izzy is constantly expanding territory, developing new relationships, and partnerships across the world. Look for Mr. Can’t Stay Local in a city or country near you.

“Djing to me is about more than spinning records.  It’s about being a music curator and creating an experience for those who have a love for the musical art.” - Izzy The DJ
