Derrick Isabell was born August 6, 1991 to Jeanetta Clinton & Derrick Isabell Sr. Nicknamed "Izzy" at age 11, he picked up the turntables with hopes of following in his older cousins, “DJ T-Nutz” and DJ Huggie footsteps.

While in middle school and high school, Izzy started his disc jockey career by djing birthday parties and basketball games at his Robert W. Groves High School in Savannah, Georgia.

Izzy the DJ has been Named top 5 HBCU DJ of the year 2014, featured on 106 And Park as a Guest DJ and selected to be an Official Luc Belaire Rose Sponsored DJ (Black Bottle Boys). During his career he has worked with celebrities Teyana Taylor, K camp, The Migos, Rae Sremmurd, Kevin Gates, Cam’Ron, Juicy J, Trinidad James, Shy Glizzy, Young Dolph, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Bobby Shmurda, D.R.A.M., Lil Durk, Mike Scott, Allen Iverson, Kyle Oquinn, Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, Kent Bazemore and the list continues.

With an energetic list of mixtape series including Dead Presidents Radio Volume Series, What's In the Blender and The Chronicles of Mr. Nasty Time Series, Izzy is gearing up to have another explosive year. Look for Izzy the DJ in a city near you.
